The most favorable and commercial type of pistachio harvested in Iran is Akbari, which is more elaborate than “Ahmad Aghaei pistachios”, “Round and Jumbo pistachio” and has higher commercial value.

This type is generally well cultivated in Rafsanjan and Kerman. But it is also cultivable in other Iranian cities. In addition to Rafsanjan and Kerman, this type grows in the cities and provinces of Qazvin, Ardakan, Yazd, Khor and Biabank of Isfahan and Qom.

Badami Pistachio

The Badami pistachio has a fairly elongated appearance and resembles almond. This is the main reason why this type of pistachio is named.
This type grown in Zarand County of Kerman Province. It is also cultivated in other cities such as Ardakan in Yazd province.
Badami is a type of long pistachio Iran and is very similar to Ahmad Aghaei pistachio. Ahmad Aghaei pistachio is one of the largest types of pistachios in Iran and has a good field for export.

Ahmad Aghaei’s pistachio is smaller than the Akbari pistachio and larger than the Jumbo pistachio. Due to its delicious brain and good size, it is widely used in luxury nuts.
